Working out around injuries

This is a really common question.

And we tend to really overcomplicate it.

A simple way to bypass all the overthinking is to ask yourself:

Am I able to achieve what I want with where I am now?

If the answer is no, you probably could use a coach.

And even if the answer is yes, you still need to ask yourself the question:

Am I making meaningful progress toward that goal?

For many of us, if we are honest, the answer is no.

When it comes to your health and fitness, sure, almost all of us could work out at home. We could run, we could do burpees, we could get some weights for our garage.

We can shop for healthy foods. We can eat better and pay more attention to our food.

And yet, we often don’t do any or most of those things. And if we do, we do them so infrequently that it doesn’t make a difference.

We can spend all day long saying, “Well, I could do this alone or at home,” “I’ll start next week,” “I just need to get a couple habits figured out,” or “When life slows down, I’ll do it.”

The list goes on and on. I know from experience. Many times in my life, I have used those sayings and thoughts, and every time they keep me exactly where I am.

What really cuts through the noise and helps when it comes to achieving the things you want and aren’t getting is to find a coach.

In this case, I’m talking about health and fitness, but it’s no different than anything else in life. You need to find someone who has done what you want to do and knows the steps, the path, the road bumps, and the curves.

Someone who can offer motivation, encouragement, and knowledge.

And equally important, a place that has community and makes “the thing” fun. That’s how you get unstuck.

All of our options come with coaching at Formidable, and we have some of the absolute best people on the planet working out at the gym and as coaches there.

So if you feel stuck, if you find yourself continually saying some of the things above, be bold and be brave enough to reach out. A coach might just be exactly the thing you need to unlock the version of yourself you know is in there.
